Booklets — Complete Guide
Everything you need to know before ordering, from materials and formats to timelines and delivery.
About Booklet Printing in Japan
Booklets are the go-to format when a single sheet is not enough. Product catalogues, annual reports, event programmes, exhibition guides, and training materials all benefit from the structure, durability, and perceived value of a bound booklet. In Japan, where print quality is closely associated with company professionalism, a well-produced booklet can be a decisive trust signal for clients and partners.
We produce booklets from 8 to 64 pages, in full colour throughout, in A4, A5, and square formats — printed and bound in-house so the finish is consistent and the timeline is short.
Binding and Cover Options
Saddle stitching is the classic choice for page counts up to roughly 40 pages: a staple through the spine that lays flat and is fast to produce. Perfect binding — a glued spine with a flat edge — suits longer documents and gives a more premium, magazine-like finish.
Covers are printed on 300gsm silk stock, with full-bleed colour and optional spot UV for a refined, tactile cover. Inner pages run on 128gsm gloss for vivid images or 90gsm uncoated for text-heavy documents that are easy to read and annotate.
Who Orders Booklets
Foreign businesses setting up in Japan use booklets for investor decks, service catalogues, bilingual company profiles, and restaurant or menu guides. Our bilingual EN/JA design service ensures the text is correct in both languages — something machine translation frequently gets wrong.
With standard production of four to five business days and quantities from 50 copies, a professional booklet is achievable even on a tight schedule.
Frequently asked questions
How many pages can a booklet have?+
We produce booklets from 8 to 64 pages, printed in full colour throughout, in A4, A5, and square 210×210 mm formats.
What is the difference between saddle stitching and perfect binding?+
Saddle stitching staples through the spine and works best for up to roughly 40 pages. Perfect binding uses a glued spine for a flat, magazine-like finish suited to longer documents.
Can you print bilingual English/Japanese booklets?+
Yes. Our bilingual EN/JA design service prepares catalogues, company profiles, and event programmes with correct text in both languages.
